Permit-only areas: Game lands on which a special permit is required to hunt or trap. To apply for any special permits in the listings below, visit ncwildlife. Caswell Game Lands is a beautiful site of rolling hills with mixed woodlands and bottomland hardwood forest.

It has plentiful, nearby agricultural lands with good forage for the animal populations. In addition, the site has beaver ponds and managed waterfowl impoundments thus plenty of water for animals and fishing.
