The frame underneath my driver's seat has cracked and broken causing the seat to be loose and tilted. The seat's frame bends over time and eventually began to tilt more and get more lose as the frame bent each time I sat down. The mounting brackets are apparently a defective design.
This is a safety risk, as the seat belts are anchored by the seat. Today, the mounting rails for the drivers seat have broken the rivets pulled through the cheap metal rails. The contact took the vehicle to his mechanic where he was advised that the seat needed to be replaced before he could pass inspection. No repairs were made to the vehicle, there were no recalls and neither the manufacturer nor dealer were contacted to report the failures.
